Taking a break

So, I’ve been busy to post. Be back later with new photos of the 365 Days / 52 Weeks project.

I’ll leave you with one photo I’ve taken during my busy time, lately, in Ovar, Furadouro. Another sunset, Saturday evening, three weeks ago.

Days #043 to #049

I’ve been busy to post. So, I’m late! Will be travelling tomorrow.

You should all visit Arouca, a village in Aveiro (Portugal). It will have our first Geopark and will be part of UNESCO’s territories. I’ve been there a few times. It’s lovely to walk through the paths on the mountain and to visit important places where we can find legacies such as fossiles (trilobites – the biggest trilobites of the world!), schist (biggest exporting village) and a outstanding landscape. And, of course, good food – specially meat.

Go check it out.

Days #036 until #042

What a full week! This week’s post is a bit late, I usually post on Friday – Saturday maximum – to keep a good rhythm of posts, but this week it was hard to keep up with the pace. I’ve been travelling in Portugal, having more work to do, having photoshooting sessions,… busy but really happy! This week’s photos (actually, I should be say “last week’s”), were taking in a more clumsy way, as I was kinda full with work and had not that free time to think technically about each photo. I have to work harder on this.

Photoshooting sessions schedule so far:

one yesterday (cancelled to to work)

one today

two next weekend

one the following weekend

maybe one during this week (maybe!)

a few non-scheduled but almost sure to happen sometime soon.

More news: I’ve been invited to be a club’s photographer *giggles* ^^ It’s a new experience for me, a different kind of photography – you’ll understand why when I post more news about it, don’t worry. (:

Back to portraiture

I’ve been doing shooting sessions, but there aren’t pictures of them online – yet. Don’t worry, there are two online samples: one here and one here.

A print album is on the way already. Just paged it and sent it to print. ^^ I’ll put it later online on my Issuu account – at least I’m strongly considering doing it. Apart from piracy issues, that would bring my work and myself some more visibility (hopefully), as a professional.

About today: I’ve been handling a Canon EOS 30D. It’s quite a piece, or should I say a “pièce de resistance”? It’s condered pretty “old”, as it ws launched in 2006 and brought no big news comparing to the previous model, Canon EOS 20D (launched two years before, in 2004). The following model, EOS 40D (2007), was a lot more sold and is a sucessful piece among professionals and “pro-amateurs”. As for me, I’ll keep using my EOS 400D, my pretty little girl!

All the best,

days #029 to #035

This has been a full week. Some work out of town, some outgoings, melancholical moments, etc.

A favourite… So hard to pick! Not because I like them all – I actually think they aren’t nice at all -, but because each one of them reminds me of a different day, each day full of particular situations and rememberances. So, what to do? I’ll pick… none! At least for now! 😡

And with this post, one month is done. I’m happy for having achieved pit stop #1. Month 1, check! ^^

Now I’m at Mirandela, preparing myself to have lunch before I leave back to Porto again – I’ve been travelling through the night to get to an amazing place and to feel renewed. I still have to take my picture for the day! (No, I did not bring my camera. Some things are not to be captured. :))

Here, here! My lunch is ready! 🙂 Have to rush to get to Porto in 3 or 4 hours maximum! 😡

Love, Alda.
