City of light
Paris is commonly known as the City of Light. May I say that I don’t agree with the whole of it; Paris can be the City of Light in some sort of way, but most of it, as I have seen, is a quite regular town. City of Light could as well be City of Ember, if you’re on the subway.
Then again, there’s a whole lot world of flashing lights if you’re at the Champs-Elysées or Tour Eiffel (for those who missed it, Elysian Fields and Eiffel Tower). For now, I’ll just leave here a couple of photos or so, in order to give you a bit of what’s around to visit.
1. Tour Eiffel (Eiffel Tower)
2. L’Arc du Triomphe du Carrousel (Arc of the Triumph of the Carrousel)
3. Le Louvre (The Louvre – Museum) | Cross-processed photo

Paris
I have been to Paris this last week for a few days on holidays, to visit the town for the first time.
It was a quick travel, only 5 days (actually, when you travel for 5 days, less than 4 are actually left to spend on visiting places around, no need to explain this), but I got to visit nice places. I was thrilled to see snow for the first time.
Maybe some photos will show up here, but no promises.
Have you ever been to Paris? Any thoughts on that?
See you soon,
Alda.
Happy New Year!
Hello, readers and followers.
I wish you all a Happy New Year, with all the blah-blah-blah-good-stuff.
Here is the last picture of 2009, taken with a cellphone! It’s a carrot cake, treat. I like this ones so much because they got this heart-shape.
The words, they say: “One day, I will give you mine. <3"

New website and revisited blogroll
Hi,
Just a quick post on my new website – or should I say a refreshed one? Visit www.aldasilva.net and feel free to give me your opinion on it.
Also, two links added to my blogroll: Issuu and dAfolio
Cheers!
Plastics Nevermore
Again, a quick update over this cosy little corner.
I haven’t been shooting a lot lately, mostly due to my work schedule (I work afternoons/evenings – nights), which is not so compatible with most other people’s lives. So, one of these days, on my day off, I just grabbed my camera and a friend and we went for some shooting nearby. Some of the resultant pictures will probably be featured here (this is the moment to remember that I haven’t posted more from the trip to Gerês, but that’s cool either way).
I really feel I am needing this! *click*

Walk on the wild side

I hadn’t post anything from my trip to Gerês about a month and a half ago, here’s the first picture. Edited on Photoshop CS3 for Grain and Cross Processing.
Mécia Sá and Edgar Meneses
Here are some more photos I took some weeks ago, when I shot Edgar Meneses and Mécia Sá.
Edgar Meneses and his Mandalin, Dragonfang.
Mécia Sá in the 40’s.
Lovely afternoon. *
Edgar Meneses
Edgar Meneses shot again, he’s a lovely model
And this turned out to be a nice afternoon/evening after all!
